Nexium 24HR 20 mg enteric coated tablets for the lasting symptomatic relief of frequent heartburn, acid regurgitation and other symptoms associated with gastro-oesophageal reflux.

Always take this medicine exactly as described in the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet or as your doctor or pharmacist have told you. Check with your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure. The recommended dose is one tablet a day. - Do not take more than this recommended dose of one tablet (20 mg) a day, even if you don't feel an improvement immediately. - You may need to take Nexium 24HR for a few days before experiencing the full effect. - Nexium 24HR should be taken for at least 7 days and up to 14 days. - Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you do not feel better while taking Nexium 24HR. If symptoms persist or recur within 2 weeks of completing the course, consult your doctor. Further examination may be required.

Always read the label, use only as directed. Tell your pharmacist or doctor if you notice any of the following and they worry you: nausea or vomiting, constipation, diarrhoea, headache, wind, stomach pain, skin rash, itchy skin, dizziness or dry mouth. They also found that patients who used the drug for more than a year had fewer gastrointestinal side effects than those who did not. However, they did not see a difference in side effects between the heartburn and stomach pain groups, and no differences in side effects between the heartburn and stomach pain groups.

The new study, led by researchers from the University of California at San Francisco, was published Friday in the journal U. S. journal.

The study's authors, Dr. John G. Kastler, of the University of California San Francisco and of the Department of Pharmacology and Toxicology, and his colleagues, Dr. Susan W. Esomeprazole is an antacid medication used to treat acid reflux disease and ulcers, heartburn, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), acid reflux and erosive esophagitis. It is also used to treat the symptoms of Crohn's disease. It belongs to a class of drugs known as proton pump inhibitors (PPIs).

Esomeprazole was given to 22,000 patients for heartburn and 2,200 patients for stomach pain in 1999.

The researchers looked at data from 1,827 patients, which were prescribed esomeprazole. The researchers compared the results with data from 1,827 patients taking other heartburn and stomach pain drugs, and 1,827 patients taking a different acid-reducing drug, ranitidine, or omeprazole, for heartburn and stomach pain in a population of 1,827 heartburn and 1,827 stomach pain drugs.

The researchers also looked at data from 1,979 patients who were prescribed omeprazole and 1,857 patients who were not. The researchers compared the results with data from 1,979 patients taking ranitidine, 1,979 patients taking omeprazole and 1,857 patients taking ranitidine.
